Community Living York South Day Programs provide vibrant, recreation-based experiences that put people first. Our person-centred, community-based programs are designed to inspire connection, independence, and fun.

 

Participants engage in meaningful activities, explore their interests, and build confidence while creating genuine friendships and a strong sense of belonging within their community.

Vision Quest

Learning Academies

Our Learning Academy Day Programs are full-time recreational adult day programs focused on continued education, community participation, and social and life skill development. We have locations in Vaughan, Markham (operates 3 days per week), and Richmond Hill.  

What it provides

We provide inclusive spaces for people supported to learn new skills, create social networks, and explore services in the community. This program utilizes public transit within the community to practice building valuable life skills that foster independence.  

 

Programming consists of education lessons, cooking, physical fitness, community outings, dog therapy, music therapy, volunteering, and more!

Eligibility

Eligible people supported must be 18+ and successfully participate in a 1:10 support ratio.

Centre for Belonging

Centre for Belonging is a full-time recreational adult day program located in Richmond. This program focuses on social and life skills development, educational maintenance, and community participation.  

What it provides

We provide inclusive spaces for people supported to learn new skills, create social networks, and explore services in the community. Programming consists of daily outings, literacy lessons, physical fitness, dog therapy, music therapy, cooking, volunteering, arts & crafts, drama, and more!  

Eligibility

Eligible people supported must be 18+ and successfully participate in a 1:4 support ratio.

Vision Quest

Vision Quest is a full-time recreational adult day program located in Markham that primarily supports individuals who speak Cantonese. This program focuses on social and life skills development, educational maintenance, and community participation.  

What it provides

We provide inclusive spaces for people supported to learn new skills, create social networks, and explore services in the community. 

 

Programming consists of weekly outings, literacy lessons, physical fitness, dog therapy, music therapy, and more!
