Family Initiatives are creative programming options that are led and driven by parents/caregivers and participants who have a shared vision, with the support and guidance of Community Support Coordinators.
The benefits to creative programming options:
- Eliminate waiting for a program(s) to be offered
- The ability to customize and tailor-make a program according to the goals, interests, needs, and abilities of your family member
- Working with others who have shared values and common goals
- Including your family member in the type of program that is created
- Working collaboratively with other caregivers and the community at large
- Expanding your network
If you are interested in starting a Family Initiative, please contact a Community Support Coordinator.
